I trained in IDTA Ballet, Modern and Tap from age 6 and studied dance at GCSE and A-Level before completing a BA (Hons) Communication and Performing Arts: Dance. After graduation I worked as a dance specialist at an American summer camp in New York.
I qualified as a dance teacher in 2005. Originally from Leeds, I moved to Wigtownshire in 2006 where I established Emma Louise Dance Club.
I joined Popdance in 2012 and I enjoy choreographing for Popdance. I teach Popdance Kids classes on a regular basis as well as running successful holiday camps and birthday parties. I have taught Popdance in many of the region's schools as well as delivering Popdance workshops to tots, kids, teens and adults at a variety of different community groups, clubs and organisations in Dumfries and Galloway.
I am group leader for Inspire Youth Dance , a community youth dance company based in Newton Stewart esablished in 2013 to provide more dance opportunities to young people in Wigtownshire.
I work as a freelance dance specialist and teach dance to children and adults in schools and community groups. I have worked with Active Schools and Community Learning and Development to deliver dance to primary and secondary children in Wigtownshire. I also teach dance to adults at the Activity Resource Centre in Newton Stewart.
I am a Sports UK Award in Dance Leadership Tutor and a Bronze and Silver Arts Award Advisor.
